"God has placed me on this earth as the singer of my life," said Evans, in a quote by John Meroney of American Enterprise. "It's what I love to perform more than anything else which is why I'm determined to achieve it happen." Moreover, Evans wanted to succeed in bringing back the classic country music that was brought to life by legends like Patsy Cline, Hank Snow, Tammy Wynette, George Jones, and Patty Loveless, musicians Evans believed to be her biggest models. In the latter part of 1990, in a time where most promising country musicians turned to contemporary popular radio tunes Evans established herself through her performances of country tunes that drew inspiration from the past as demonstrated by her 1997 debut, True Lies. True Lies was not a big hit, despite being loved by critics as well as receiving a 1998 Academy of Country Music nomination for best female singer. Evans' next release was in the year 1999. No Place That Far was a result of bowing to producers who convinced that she needed to expand her range. Finally, she received the recognition that she has always wanted since her childhood. Sara Evans, born on the 5th of February, 1971 in Columbia Missouri she is an American singer and songwriter. Sara Evans spent her early years in the company of six other siblings.
