Jennifer Tilly's birth occurred in Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The conditions were miserable. Her mother worked as a teacher and failed actor while her father was a salesman for cars. Jennifer is the youngest of the family of four she was frequently at her mother's theater performance and very much impressed. Jennifer's divorce occurred at the age of five. Jennifer was brought up to British Columbia by her mother, who moved with her four siblings. Jennifer did not have the best education, even though she was being a gifted young person. As a child, Jennifer was often being the target of bullies in schools across Canada. The theater interest began to wane throughout her time in high school in the end, and consequently she was a regular participant in plays as an extra with help from her mother. She encouraged her whole family to be passionate about the art of making. Then she began acting.
